she is known to bad-mouth including her own team leader & one of her best colleagues. tsk tsk.. *rise eyebrow*
probably she dislikes the QA team as we are the one to penalise their calls.
also because i don't SMILE at her. *cough cough*

i think the pot (I) should be taking a good look at herself b4 calling the kettle black.

i feel sorry for pple like I.

sok wanted to give me free tic to one of the movies' screening.
but i turned it down.
not very keen on that movie besides.. i've watched most of them.

the 2 of us were watching the finals of the grand prix on tv &
SUDDENLY! my darling suggested driving down to ECP & off we go!
the sounds from the engines were deafening & it makes one feel really high.
high on adrenalin!
it was an enormous feeling!
didnt know what is the best word to describe..
we ended up laughing really loud when we drove pass to peek into the circuit.
saw a couple of cars zooming by & the pure sounds from the engines make our hearts pound!
nothing beats the feeling of seeing & hearing it live!

surprise surprise to know Alonso winning the race.
he crashed into the barriers during the qualifying yest.
2 of our friends were there & witnessed the crash.
we were still kidding not to get a Renault next time.
anyway, congratulations to him!

Hamilton is still #1 in the ranking.
hope it stays that way~

well.. i would say it is like a dream come true as i'm pretty much into fashion & pretty things.

we were busy shopping for xmas gifts last week.
well.. of course we tend to end up looking at gifts for ourselves.
my dear buddy ended up shopping at cK as there was a massive sales there.
while he was trying on his clothes, i went on to look at the ladies' section.
there was a shelf with at least 5 colored fur clothes, along with other cotton outfits with 50% discount.
i went on to touch a sky blue fur coat.
it was amazing soft..
in my mind i was thinking if it is made from real fur..

my goodness..
it happened this morning before i was heading to work.
zax's mum picked up the phone at around 10.15am & the PCR lady informed her about some jewellery fair.
she was asked for her name, NRIC & age.
of course she didn't tell the PCR the truth as she remembered reading about phone scams from China.
shortly after she put down the phone, it rang again!
this time round, she was told to press 9.
another PCR lady asked her why she is calling The Supreme Court.
zax's mum asked her back why is she calling her.
the PCR told her that there could be a voice message left on the computer system & she can help her to retrieve it.
the PCR 'transferred' her call to another 'department'.
she was asked for her name & NRIC so as to check if there is indeed a voice message.
i overheard her revealing her information.
it immediately came to my mind that it could be a scam.
when i took over the phone & spoke to the PCR, the lady over the phone seems to be angry.

Me: 请问这是什么事?

PCR: 我是从高等法院打来的. 这个家庭的成员有个电话留言.

Me: 你能讲英文吗?

PCR: 可以..

Me: What is going on? You were saying you are calling from the Supreme Court.

PCR: Yes, there is a voice message for the family. I was telling your mother just now.

Me: I see. What is the message about?

PCR: I don't know. I checked the computer system and the voice message is not for your mother. Maybe I can check for you if it is for you.

Me: The Supreme Court will send a letter to my family if it was something important. Why would the court leave a voice message on the telephone?

PCR: I don't know. It is stated in the system that there is a voice message for the family.

Me: Then can you tell me when was the message left?

PCR: I don't know. It is not in the computer system. The IT manager told me to call your family to inform of this message.

Me: I don't think the govt will leave a voice message & use our NRIC & name to retreive the voice mail. A letter will be sent to our address.

PCR: It can be some important voice message for the family. If you didn't receive the letter, then don't blame us.

Me: It's ok. I'll wait. What is your name? I'll check with Supreme Court on this.

been coughing since i last came back from BKK.
i was so sick that i didn't do much.
it went from a mild itch in my throat to full-blown cough & flu.
my head aches constantly with a dull pain.
i can't sleep well & i kept waking up to cough.
it felt as if i'm going to cough out my heart & lungs anytime.
my cough got so bad that i ended up puking my dinner yesterday. :(
i had already swallowed alot of lozenges & cough syrup.
seems like i'm on my way to recovery.. i'd better!!!
i reckon i had too much tom yum gung.
well... who can resist the tantalising lemongrassy soup?
not me, at least!
which leads to my downfall. haha!
can only blame myself to be so greedy! :x
we had alot of food during our stay there.
the local thai food, japanese food, steamboat, instant noodles & larvaes!
the guys bought a pack of fried larvaes at Sapanput.

these look so crunchy right?
well.. only the thin ones.
the fat bamboo larvaes gave a weird sensation when chewed on, according to the guys.
it was like an electric shock.
eeks! sounds bad enough!
other than food, we went for alot of head & body massages.
not costly at all.
it is great to relax after long shopping walks.
folks, u can consider to stay in Somerset Lake Point.
a lovely, spacious & clean service apartment!
excellent service from the staffs!
i'll rate it 4 stars!
oh.. forget to mention i saw this at Siam Centre.

my heart breaks into many pieces when i found out what happened to someone very dear to me.
i'm almost tearing when L msn-ed me.
she is head over heels in love with a man since 5 years ago.
over a guy who can't commit, cheats & is a bankrupt.

yes.. finally finalized with our ROM venue!
the place where we are becoming man & wife is at Mezebar.
we will have the whole bar to ourselves on our special day.
took us two weeks to decide on this lovely venue.
we want it to be really special.
don't intend to hold it by the poolside or in a function room.
to us, the solemnization is more important than actual day dinner (which will be at least a year later).

we will need to secure a JP soon..
on a lookout for photographer as UK can't commit due to his in-camp.
anyone has a good & reasonable rates photographer to recommend?

oh yes!! yesterday, we went to IC to attend jake & connie's wedding.
both of them look so stunning!
we love the settings & color theme.
it was gold & white.
their JP seems to be such a jovial lady!
quite patient & she requested for the guests to be silent as the ceremony was starting.
there was a silence of around 1 min and the rest of the guests at the end of the corridor started to talk among themselves.
she had the 'oh dear.. what to do' look as the noise gets louder.
but she continued on as they were already half-way through the ceremony.
i guess that is the problem of a large crowd.
i think they should respect the newly-wedded couple.
oh well...

the wedding favors were white rose-shaped soap & potpourri.
the dishes were yummy, too!
we loved the red bean with lotus seeds & lily bud dessert!
can consider this hotel for our actual day =)
shall wait till our solemnization is over.
plan one step at a time.

almost fainted this morning while i was waiting for my bus to work.
i was seeing stars & my heart thumped so fast.
it took me quite awhile to reach home.
i had to stop every few steps as i can't breathe properly.

watched it for the 2nd time as the girls didn't get to watch it as they were holidaying in Aust.
so glad that they love it, too =)
watching it at Lido was a horror.
we all know how bad the seats are.. but we are left with no choice.
most cinemas were fully booked.
a few blokes in the 4th row kept talking when the movie was starting.
it was lucky they shut up soon after.
what else that is next that can be so bad?
this girl behind me kept shifting & knocking into my seat.
it happened not once, not twice but 10 times.
yes.. i counted.
i was so irritated that by the 4th time, i turned around to look at her.
she stopped for awhile & not long after, it started all over again.
i was darn pissed as i'm trying to enjoy a good movie.
i tried so hard to ignore her as i didn't want to spoil the mood of other movie-goers.
i would have told her off.
there were so many of us who were feeling so cramped up but we don't even fidget like what she did.
to the extent of affecting others.
it was torturous to watch movie with constant knocking at my seat.
not going back to Lido ever again.
she ought to consider revamping her cinemas.
used to enjoy movies at Lido & Cathay when i was a little kid.

we have emailed to at least 15 locations & now we have shortlisted 4.
geez~ i reckon their packages are subjected to sudden changes.
yesterday evening, we went down to PR.
we were so shocked when the rep told us that the minimum # of guests is 50 instead of 30 as it was stated in her proposal last fri.
another bomb is the one day stay in the hotel is not in the package anymore.
it is subjected to availability on the day itself.
need to check with management on it.
need to find our own decor & we must liaise with the florist on our own.
reason? to save our cost as we do not have to go through PR as the middle-men.
we think it is more like can't-be-bothered attitude.
WTH?!
the wedding planners are supposed to plan all these stuffs right? T_T
this hotel was initially in my #2 choice slot.
after hearing the 'changes' & looking at the pavilion..
decision: PR.

as for our #1 choice MC, we decided to forgo her as well.
read alot of very negative feedbacks on this hotel for her wedding planners.
inflexible & not very responsible when things messed up.
besides, we were at MC over the weekend & we saw a post-solemnization.
it is by the pool.

i agree my friends will feel weird why i called them out of the blue.
honestly, i lost most of my contact numbers when i lost my mobile.
for some, i managed to get their contact numbers back from a kind old friend who used to be in same industry as me.
i can tell from the tone that some of them are really hostile.
maybe i called at the wrong time?
maybe they were in a bad mood?
maybe they have the wrong impression?

it does get to me at times that my friends will think that i'm only trying to get them to purchase a health, investment or retirement plan.
i take it as a sharing session to inform them of the various products my company has to offer.
it is also a catching up time.
most of us have lost touch since graduation.

i didn't force these plans down their throats..
if they don't get a plan, does it mean i will not treat them as friends anymore?
no... that is never the case.
the friendship we share is not based on selling & buying.
i see the importance of proper financial planning.

yes, i am.
this morning, i woke up later than usual to head for work.
i was telling myself i'm not hauling my heavy laptop today, so i can afford to catch more sleep.
it was still very crowded when i boarded the mrt.
the 1st thing i noticed was a pair of worn out shoes.
these belonged to a girl, i think, aged 17 or 18.
she was busy rummaging through her big bag.
after awhile, she picked out a sweet & mp3 player.
she brought it very near to her face to look at them.
the indian, who was standing just a few inches away, started to stare into her face for at least 2 minutes.
he kept looking at her.
do you know why?
because she is partially blind.
i only came to realise it when i saw her walking stick that was tucked behind her slim arm.
i think she sensed someone staring at her, besides.. she is not totally blind.
she COULD see that idiot staring into her face.
it was really rude of him to stare so hard :(
she turned into my direction & i saw that her eyes were cloudy.
as if there was a layer over her eyes...
at that moment, i felt sorry for her.
the beautiful, colorful sights that she could not see clearly...
i do admire her courage.
she is attending ITE, from the school uniform & lanyard she wears.
she didn't give up to get a good education.
i complained at times about my heavy laptop.
after i saw this girl.. i realised how fortunate i am.
she carries a schoolbag and a laptop too..
we know how heavy a laptop is.
it is difficult for her to handle 3 items...
at times, i complained about some minor things.
i guess it is because i'm taking things for granted.
most of us take things for granted.
we need a wake-up call to realise we are so much more fortunate.
we shouldn't be critical of the things around us.
be more appreciative of what we have.
some people do not get to have the small little things that we have been taken for granted all these times.
