reds are the ones who act or reply in hostile ways.
learnt how to handle these reds with blues.
i think it will really be great if everyone starts acting blue.
the motto is to be blue, stay blue.

phone scams

my goodness..
it happened this morning before i was heading to work.
zax's mum picked up the phone at around 10.15am & the PCR lady informed her about some jewellery fair.
she was asked for her name, NRIC & age.
of course she didn't tell the PCR the truth as she remembered reading about phone scams from China.
shortly after she put down the phone, it rang again!
this time round, she was told to press 9.
another PCR lady asked her why she is calling The Supreme Court.
zax's mum asked her back why is she calling her.
the PCR told her that there could be a voice message left on the computer system & she can help her to retrieve it.
the PCR 'transferred' her call to another 'department'.
she was asked for her name & NRIC so as to check if there is indeed a voice message.
i overheard her revealing her information.
it immediately came to my mind that it could be a scam.
when i took over the phone & spoke to the PCR, the lady over the phone seems to be angry.

Me: 请问这是什么事?

PCR: 我是从高等法院打来的. 这个家庭的成员有个电话留言.

Me: 你能讲英文吗?

PCR: 可以..

Me: What is going on? You were saying you are calling from the Supreme Court.

PCR: Yes, there is a voice message for the family. I was telling your mother just now.

Me: I see. What is the message about?

PCR: I don't know. I checked the computer system and the voice message is not for your mother. Maybe I can check for you if it is for you.

Me: The Supreme Court will send a letter to my family if it was something important. Why would the court leave a voice message on the telephone?

PCR: I don't know. It is stated in the system that there is a voice message for the family.

Me: Then can you tell me when was the message left?

PCR: I don't know. It is not in the computer system. The IT manager told me to call your family to inform of this message.

Me: I don't think the govt will leave a voice message & use our NRIC & name to retreive the voice mail. A letter will be sent to our address.

PCR: It can be some important voice message for the family. If you didn't receive the letter, then don't blame us.

Me: It's ok. I'll wait. What is your name? I'll check with Supreme Court on this.

PCR: Chen Claudia.

Me: Thank you Claudia. Bye.

these people are so evil!
they are prying upon the older folks & their lack of knowledge & fear of the law.
this is totally absurd!
please warn your family members about this..
don't be a victim.

yes.. that is how i'm feeling today.
in fact since yesterday afternoon.
it has nothing to do with my ROM preparation.
that has something to do with my work.
sometimes, i wonder if being responsible is a good thing.
yes, of course it is!
till some clients take it as something else & ask you out with other intentions.
intentions to buaya aka lothario.
how will you feel to be slapped with cheesy lines accompanied by leery looks?
i have to stay calm & composed though many a times i want to smack those rats!
where is the respect?
some people just don't respect sales persons.
they think that sales persons will DO anything to hit their sales quota.
FCUKING wake up your idea!
i put alot of pride into my work.
i know some people think that a financial adviser only has sales agenda for meeting up with friends.
that is only partially true.
meeting up for a cuppa or a meal to catch up also means showing concern.
is it wrong to show concern for friends?
is it wrong to ask if your friends are adequately protected?
it is not my job to force my friends to BUY plans.
my job is to ensure & educate my friends in getting the right protection.
many things in life are unpredictable.
some people are selfish & don't care about their family.
they believe that their family will not fall into financial difficulties if they were to leave this world or become disabled.
that is so so wrong & self-centred!
some families wiped out their entire life savings.
nobody will want to do this to their family.
insurance is something that you won't get when u needed it most.
when you finally think you want it, you realise you might not be able to get it.
it is really disappointing when friends started avoiding you when they know you are in the financial industry.
they shun you like you are plague.
is this necessary?
i can also understand why some behave this way.
they have met pushy advisers who hard sell.

i'm so busy that it totally slipped my mind to check on its sales date.

i told myself that i will be attending this for sure.
